Tender Notice of BHEL for Supply and I&C of 1500V 3-Phase Grid Connected Outdoor PCUs for 2x50MW GSECL Project at Raghanesda, Gujarat

1. H.E. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Minister for External Affairs of India visited Tehran on 6-7 February 2007.  His delegation included Foreign Secretary Mr. Shivshankar Menon, Joint Secretary(Iran, Pakistan & Afghanistan) Mr. Dilip Sinha, Joint Secretary(External Publicity) Mr. Navtej Singh Sarna and other officials.  During the visit, Mr. Mukherjee met with H.E. Mr. Manouchehr Mottaki, Foreign Minister of Iran and Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.  Mr. Mukherjee also called on H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran and H.E. Mr. Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Chairman of the State Expediency Council.

2.  Expressing his happiness on the visit to Iran, Mr. Mukherjee stated that India and Iran have civilizational links and share a historical legacy that is both variegated and rich.  The leadership of the two countries have imbued this legacy with dynamism and vision.  The growing momentum in Indo-Iranian multi-dimensional relationship derives its strength from the vibrant interaction over the millennia.  There is tremendous scope of further bilateral cooperation in the sectors such as oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, textiles, automobiles, telecommunication, information technology etc.  India is committed to further development of its relations with Iran in all these sectors.
